NaltrexLow™ is our exclusive brand of LDN - Low-Dose Naltrexone. ‘LDN’ refers to the use of naltrexone at low doses; typically less than 5 mg per day. LDN was discovered at Penn State University in 1980 and was first shown to slow down the growth of cancer. Twenty years later, researchers discovered that LDN also helps treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases and chronic pain conditions. LDN is now used by >500,000 people worldwide, and over 100 studies have been published in the medical literature covering its use for more than 60 medical conditions.
LDN is unmatched by any other drug. Through LDN’s effects on normalizing immune system function and cell division rates, LDN is gaining recognition by researchers worldwide as the safest drug with the broadest range of applications in medicine.
What’s the Difference Between LDN and regular Naltrexone?
Naltrexone (high dose, 50 - 100 mg daily) is FDA approved for reducing opiate and alcohol addictions. However, as in many cases - less is often more. High dose naltrexone is not effective for treating the wide range of conditions which are helped specifically by Low Dose Naltrexone. Only the low dose of naltrexone, by staying in the body for a very short time, allows the normalization of endorphin production and immune function. These benefits however are neutralized by high dose naltrexone.
