WHAT CEPHARAN™2 IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Cepharan™2 contains 2 mg of cepharanthine, an alkaloid extracted from the plant Stephania Hayata. Cepharanthine has been approved in Japan since the 1970’s for treating alopecia areata, a form of autoimmune hair-loss.
Cepharanthine has also been discovered to treat androgenetic alopecia (hormone related hair loss).
Cepharan™2 comes in 2 mg capsules.
BEFORE YOU USE CEPHARAN™2
Ensure that the package of Cepharan™2 is in date, and that individual capsules are properly sealed.
Using other medicines Cepharan™2 is not known to interact with other medicines. However, please inform your doctor or pharmacist of any changes or additions to the medications you are using.
Taking Cepharan™2 with food and drink Food and drink have not been shown to affect absorption of cepharanthine. Cepharan™2 can be taken with or without food.
Pregnancy and breast feeding There are no reported studies examining the use of cepharanthine during pregnancy or breast feeding. If you are pregnant or plan becoming pregnant, or breast feeding, discuss this with your health care professional before starting to use
HOW TO USE CEPHARAN™2
Cepharan™2 is usually taken once daily. In some cases, up to 3 capsules daily may be needed. Cepharan™2 should be swallowed with the aid of water or another liquid.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects from cepharanthine are extremely rare, and mostly relate to mild stomach upset in the rare reported cases.
HOW TO STORE CEPHARAN™2
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Store at room temperature, away from sources of direct light, heat, or moisture.
Do not use Cepharan™2 after the expiry date stated on the package The expiry date refers to the last day of the month and year stated on the package.
What Cepharan™2 contains - The active substance is cepharanthine 2 mg. - The only other ingredient is pure dextrose monohydrate used to allow immediate release of the naltrexone. No other fillers or binders are used. - Capsule shell is made from gelatin, and is certified Kosher.
